Being induced on Tuesday

I haven't been on in a while because our computer has been out of comission, but we're getting it worked on. I was due on the 15th and went to the doctor on the 16th, and he wanted me to pick a date to be induced, due to my GD, and I told him I wanted to do it as late in the week as possible. He said "You really want to do this on your own, right?" I agreed that I did in fact want to do this myself, he agreed to let me go 1 more week. I'm going to be admitted into the hospital at 6am on Tuesday, and I should be holding my baby by Tuesday evening! I'm excited, and yet at the same time I'm not. This isn't really how I saw things going, but I'm not having anything other than Braxton-Hicks contractions Wish me luck everyone!

Good luck, mama. You will still have a beautiful birth with a baby at the end, induction or no.

Just to give you some hope, I never have anything going on until I am *in* labor (and this one was 1 1/2 hours). You could try lots of curb walking and hot water bottles on your chest to get things ready! Can't wait to hear your birth story!

Some more hope - I had to be "induced" and all it took was some cervical gel and water breaking - no pitocin necessary.

Still hoping you go into labor on your own - but if not, wishing you the best possible induction.

If you were looking for another method of induction, you could try the foley catheter. It was super effective for me. In fact it was so effective that we had to remove it after only a couple of hours because the contractions were coming on so hard and fast! (p.s. it's supposed to stay in for 12 hours)

*hugs* you can still have a wonderful birth experience... even with an induction.

Lots of good wishes for you mama, we have had some great induction birth stories in our DDC mama, reading them might help get your spirits up! Good Luck! :
