Still no name! She was born last night at 10:05pm (on her due date) after 10 minutes! of active labor. She was born in the pool, into her daddy's hands (I was on my knees, so he caught her). It was just the two of us. Things progressed from random contractions to "Holy-crap-these-things-hurt-we'd-better-get-the-pool-filled!" contractions very quickly. We went upstairs to fill the pool, called the m/w to give her a heads up (since she is over an hour away), and I jumped in the pool. I was pushing in a matter of minutes, and then she was here! The placenta took some time to come out, so that was annoying. DH kept having to add hot water to the pool. But she's here and she's perfect! The m/w arrived just after midnight (she was taking her time, we had already called to tell her the baby was here) and cleaned up and did all the weighing and measuring. She was 7lbs 12oz, 20" long, 13" head circ. I have a 1st degree tear and the afterpains SUCK! But otherwise I am doing well. The girls met her this morning (DD1 didn't want to get out of bed last night, we asked) and they are fascinated by their new little sister. We are all so in love!
