What is DP's job?

Nathan (DH) is a preschool teacher .

I've been all over the country (Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Texas, Arizona, Idaho, California, Washington, Montana) mostly for work. I think my favorite was Butte, Montana......or maybe St. Louis.

Aww I really want to be a preschool teacher and think evenutally I will . I am a certified K-8 teacher in a different state than I live in for now!

So you have never been out of the country? If you could go out of the country where would you go?

How was your gig yesterday?

When is your Midwife appointment?!?!? I'm excited to hear how it goes! By the way, you must be an early riser huh??

These are awesome questions!

Thanks so much for sharing with us wobblykate.... it's fun getting to know so much about you!

Well, I really can't sleep in anymore because my stomach wakes me up with the growling . I normally have to get up and take DH to work about 8:15, so I scheduled my MW appt for 8:30 this morning...then DH informed me on Friday he'd taken the day off for our anniversary, so I had to get up anyway. I figure the midwives are fresher at that hour, anyway, right?

The appointment was awesome....my blood sugar and blood pressure were fabulous and I've only gained 3 lbs...right on track!

And I got to hear the baby's heart beat ::!! It was so awesome! 155 bpm and there was a lot of static in between the beating and the mw said it was because the baby is really active . DH totally missed out staying home in bed:. To be fair, he's been sick and not sleeping well. I scheduled my screening ultrasound for 19 weeks at the beginning of November.: We'll find out the sex then!

Thanks for all your great, thoughtful questions!

Yay congrats on the awesome appointment!! I figured that's where you were Isn't the sound of the heartbeat incredible! That's good to know that all that static and swooshing is prob the baby moving around. Yay for you Kate!!

Thanks for sharing so much with us!

How exciting!!!!!!! YAY!

-Do you have a guess on gender?

-What excites you most about being a first time mom; what scares you most?
I play in a band with my DH! Definitely the way to go! Especially if you tour lots.

Tell us about the music you guys listen to most...and what might be THE record you would want your baby to love?
Gender--No idea...if I had to say, I think it's a boy. DH does, too, but my mom thinks it's a girl. We'll see.

most exciting--Holding that baby and feeling the bond...

most scary--insecure job

We listen to a lot of folk, blues, country. There's a list of our influences on www.myspace.com/lowtidedrifters.

I want my kid to listen to folk musicians like Utah Phillips, people with a moral message.

Happy anniversary

When did you start thinking about attachment parenting ?
How did you find MDC?
How many children would you like to have?
I don't know if I 100% ascribe to any parenting style...but I love the ideas of natural parenting, bfing, compassion for children, etc.

I found MDC when I was looking for wool stuffing....weird, huh?

In a perfect world, I'd have 2 or 3 kids....in reality just his one.
