Why are you wobbly?

What kinds of baby carriers will you buy?

Can I bother you with pm'd questions about Eugene sometime? We'd like to move to Oregon from the SF Bay Area in the summer.

I want a mei thai (sp?). My friend had one and they seemed really versatile.

I LOVE my mai tai. I made one as a practice and then another one in a nicer fabric, and it is the greatest thing.

So, any religious affiliations? Were you raised with any?

I was raised in the Church of the Nazarene, but have decided not to terrify my child with their interesting theories on hell and the revelations.

We don't practice a religion, but DH was born Catholic and has a strong affection for Dorothy Day, Thomas Merton, the Barrigan Bros.

We think that the history of religion and religious texts like the bible are historically important and have some good moral lessons, but we'll probably approach them from that direction.

I'm nervous about making my own mei tai b/c it's so important for them to be unflawed. I just don't think I'm confident enough in my sewing for that .

I know what you mean about being nervous. I put the first one through some testing! The only thing that has to be really strong is the straps connection to the body, and the pattern I used showed how to topstitch to strengthen the seam, and overlap for strength. If you do want to make one later, or anybody else is interested, this is the pattern I used.

So what is the biggest thing you want to get done before baby arrives?

The biggest thing I'm worried about is work...I'd like to find a job soon so I can make sure to have enough money saved for mat leave.

Other than that, I want to make all my diapers, which is a big project.

How fun to read all all these interesting things about you. I'm wanting some Coconut Bliss now too!! (I've never heard of it though)

So, what is your best trait?

What is your worst habit?

What is your fav color?

What type of diapers are you making?? Pockets, covers, fitteds, ect?? What fabrics are you using?? FLeece, wool, cotton, flannel??
(If you can't tell I am exciting to start CDing again! My ds has been out of diapers for over 2 years!)

Fitteds with recycled clothing and towels (cotton/terry/flannel) and wool covers. I'm excited to do this, too! I found some great wool at a thrift store yesterday...natural color, kind of kinky shape, and soft...only 2.50 for 2 1/2 skeins!

Do you have any names picked out?? *sigh* we did until today...DH keeps going back and forth on our boy name...we had decided on Gideon and then he said he didn't like it...then said he did like it...and just this morning changed his mind again. I love the name, but I don't want to name the kids something he really doesn't like. For a girl, Eden.
