my massage therapist who has become a good friend over the years was our doula. She stayed for all 36 hours and lost income since she had to cancel several appointments. She was amazing during our birth. Words do not seem enough of a thanks. So here is a poem that I found and have been tweaking. But there is something missing. The last line just doesn't sit right. Any ideas or suggestions
Thank you all for all that you have done.
Hard times are now turned into joy and pride.
All this we managed with you by our side,
Nor could we this course have run.
Kindness is your inner sun.
You gave with love, not merely out of duty.
Our lives are awed by your beauty.
Upon which our three lives now have begun.
Thank you for helping us bring S into this world.
