I am free crocheting (is that a term) waldorf style very simple dolls. I am on my third one the first two turned out pretty cute. The first two I was on vacation so it was totally recycled stuffing, I just cut up an old skirt and stuffed the little scraps in there. This time I figured I'd do it the "real" way and stuff with polyfill....but I don't like how it is turning out. This is probably a really dumb question but are ragdolls stuffed with rags? The first two had some weight to them and are pretty flexible which the polyfill doesn't seem to be doing and the polyfill seems to be showing through my stiches a little more which I also don't like. WWYD? Should I just cut up old clothes or do a half polyfill half rags or is there a third option? Any other advice on these kind of projects? Thanks for your wisdom!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

what about using wool sweater and yarn scraps to stuff th dollies? i have done this when i am crocheting play food and it works great.
polyfill is really light weight. wool roving works great for stuffing tiys because it has a bit more weight and substance to it and it retains warmth. i bet the yarn and sweater scraps would work in a very similar way plus it would be a great way to recycle/upcycle!
