please help me get this Tea Tree Oil OUT OF MY HAIR!

Friday night I drenched my scalp in tea tree oil. It's really the only thing I've found that works for this intense scalp itch (it's not lice, we've checked, a lot. It's just a seasonal thing). But now it won't go away. I've shampooed 3 times, scrubbed with baking soda and poured vinegar on it. What do I do?

I have an EEG tomorrow first thing in the morning, and I have to have clean, oil-free, product-free hair.

I have no idea, but since it is an oil...I would try a basic oil (whatever you have on hand) to kind of sop it up and then wash with shampoo.

It will also go away on its own, but it will take time...probably more time than you have due to your test.

In the future, though, I would check out the recommended tea tree oil usage for itchy scalp. Your word "drenched" conjures up images of overdose...

Best wishes!

How did it go? Were you able to have the test done in spite of the TTO in your hair?

Okay, sorry I saw this too late but you can use baby powder or corn starch.

It's also great when your hair is dirty and you don't have time to wash it.

Put the powder in hair, work it in and brush it out.
