But I can't be completely certain. Although I'm pretty sure.
My older two kids had the vax a few years back (before I knew anything lol) and I took them for a checkup for the first time in TWO years last week. I'm pretty sure my son (6) picked it up from there. But since he had the shot, this is a mild version. He started out with some on one arm, now there are a few on the other and a couple on his face. He feels fine, just a few spots here and there. He has scratched them so some have started to crust over, although new ones do form.
I looked online and it's called a "breakthrough" form of the disease, which is milder but still highly contagious. And from what I've read it sounds exactly like what he has.

If anyone would like to come over and see if they can catch it, be my guest. But like I said, it is a milder version. We live in Belton, Texas.

Quote:
| Children who were vaccinated in their early childhood years may have their first close contact with another child with chickenpox in child care or school settings several years after vaccination. This is why they may come down with mild chickenpox several years after they were vaccinated. This form of chickenpox is also called “breakthrough” disease. |
Quote:
| If a vaccinated person does get chickenpox, it is usually a very mild case lasting only a few days and involving fewer skin lesions (usually less than 50, which may resemble bug bites more than typical, fluid-filled chickenpox blisters), mild or no fever, and a quicker recovery. |
