Hi I'm pretty new here and was looking for a forum for large families (4 or more kids) but didn't find one!About me i'm 32 (on wed.24th) with 5 dc aged 15 to 3, 3 girls and 2 boys and the sixth due in April 8th.This is dh 1st baby. And the whole family is very excited.I was turned onto mothering when I was pregnant with my 4th (7 yodd) and have breastfed and co-slept with all my children even the oldests when I was just a young teen mom.(just did what felt right.)Looking for friends and other moms with large families.

There is a tribe here, I think it's called Mothers of Many, or something like that. As you can see from my siggy, I have 5 and am on my 6th

I'm only on #2, but I was the oldest of 9 and I loved it! My parents are wonderful, and we're a close family. We always had a lot of fun, and still do when we get together. The youngest is only 10, so the nest isn't empty. My mom homeschooled us and is still going strong with the ones still at home!

Congrats on #6!

I belong...

I'm in my early thirties, have been married since age 22, and have an 8yo, 7yo, 4yo, 2yo, and 1yo, with my sixth due mid-April. Only 1 girl so far, smack in the middle. We might just find out what this baby is this time, if we end up doing an ultrasound, so that my daughter (who already thinks its a girl) can adjust if it's not. I love my boys, but we sure could use a few more girls around here! She only has two girl cousins, even, and one of them is an infant who lives in another state!
I'm the oldest of six and always said I wanted at least six. I only just started feeling like the house was starting to feel right with the addition of number 5. Now we're just about at six and I know I want more. But we will just keep going one baby at a time. We have been very blessed!

I am 33 and have 5 with one due April 25. I have 4 boys and 1 girl. The boys are 12, 10, 7, 4, and DD is 2. We'd like a girl too, but if not I'm sure DD will be okay cause she loves her brothers. She is also the only granddaughter on both sides so we'd like to have that other little girl so that she is not too terribly spoiled.

We are also hoping for an even larger family...as many as God decides to bless us with. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

I guess we are moving into the Large family camp now! I"m going on 33 and pregnant with #5...the first 3 were from a previous marriage and we have a 6½ year gap between #3 and #4...we hope to have another boy and TWO more girls at least! Right now we've only got one little girl (7 year old, and she desperatly wants a sister!) She was appeased by being taken out for icecream when we found out #4 was a boy...and responded with..."I guess I"ll just have to play with all those BOYS!" We reassured her we planned on having more babies, and If I have anything to say about it, we will have at least 2 more sisters before we are done!

This is only our second, but I'm one of 6 and DH is one of 7 so I guess you could call us an "aspiring" big family.

Give us a few years.

Do you constantly hear, "Are you still trying for a boy?" :

I have a gf who has four girls, and she WANTED all girls. Something people can't seem to imagine... *scratching head*

I have 3 boys and one girl, and almost all of the few people I've told have sid they bet I'm hoping for a girl :

Same thing when I was pg with dd, everyone thought I'd be hoping for a girl since I already had a boy, and you know "one of each".....

No one seems to believe me when I say that I prefer the boys

oh and yes, I'm hoping for a boy this time

I just turned 29 and am pg with #5. My kids are 9, 6, 3, and 18 months. I would guess that qualifies us as a "big" family. I consider it to be just right.

I'll be 29 in December, so nice to see another "big family" mama around my age. I agree that my family, pretty much, seems just right, but I'll hear about people with 3-4 kids and think "wow they have a big family"
