The Office Season 5!!! - Page 3

loved this ep. So happy for JAM, but I am sure something will mess it up. LOVE Holly!!! She is perfect. Ryan is such a UAV. ugh.

I'm not worried about th art school guy. I think they played that up (in a subtle way) so the viewers were solely focused on it. That way, Jim's proposal was so unexpected because we were all thinking about "oh no, what about Pam's new friend?!?!" instead of the Pam/Jim relationship. KWIM?

DH and I thught Angela was pregnant and that's what was causing them to gain weight during their weigh-ins. Ties in with their rendezvous in the storage area...

I didn't feel bad for Toby at all. He rally lost all of my love and respect last season when he became Ryan's little toy to get rid of Jim. Blech!

Andy...

What's with Ryan/Kelly? He barely could stand her when they were actually dating and now he wants he back??? That story-line seems odd and unconvincing. I thought she would be strong but it looks like she'll go back to him. What an idiot. I thought her and Darrell were a good match because he grounded her. Oh well.

Michael/Holly. I have no idea.

I don't know- I could see the Ryan/Kelly thing happening. He's feeling so small right now, and he figured she'd worship the ground he walks on still, and give him an ego boost. He probably figured that was the one thing he could count on still.

Yep. He's an egotistical ass and probably figured he could say sorry and pick up with her again. I hope she's grown some since dating Ryan and sticks with Darell. I would.

That would make sense if that's how they were writing it, but that's not how it's going. He's not feeling small, we saw him keeping his list of people who have wronged him/are wronging him for when he gets back on top. Also, she snubbed him a few times yet he keeps on trying. It's not as though she rolled over and worshipped him. He's actually working for it.

I just don't like how they're writing it.

Yup. She breastfeeds her baby girl, Isabel.

While we're OT, I recently learned that Melora Hardin is a breastfeeding home birth advocate.

FINALLY found time to watch this on the DVR.

LOVED that Dwight made a perfectly perfect, "That's what she said," comment-in-the-making (something with the eclair about you don't have to swallow, just hold it in your mouth), and Jim looked over at Michael, waiting for it, and then said. "Nothing?" Michael's "that's what she said"s are my favorite part of this show.

Anyone else think Ryan is in a 12-step? All the apologies... wonder how that will play out.

And I'm really wondering where they'll go with Jan's birth! I know the cast has more creative control over the show than most sitcoms, so I'm wondering if Jan will have a homebirth. DH thinks Jan is the type to have the total vanity c-section, but I think she'll have her "Serenity by Jan" candles, her Hunter music, lock Michael out of the bathroom for 8-12 hours and UC. Then Michael will be all pissy because he missed it.

oh I keep meaning to ask... did anyone see that exchange on the Emmys between Steve Carell & Ricky Gervais...?

They WERE joking around, right?

Steve Carell was so straight faced the whole time - he looked totally pissed. I didn't know whether to laugh or not.

I saw it. I am pretty sure they were joking around. I mean, he had the Emmy under his seat and all. I loved it!

Ya it was definitely set up and really funny! "Gimme my emmy. Give it to me. Now. Gimme my emmy....Gimme my emmy."

I loved the Emmy bit! DH and I were rolling!

Maybe Jan will have an officebirth... in Michael's office. I'd like to see Todd Packer top THAT (little shout-out to when he left Michael a 'present' in his office).

Otterella - I have to agree with your DH. I can see Jan scheduling the C-Section birth also. She'll be sipping wine and Michael will be rubbing her feet through it all

I think it's Holly. Remember how he didn't say it when they were on the Ferris wheel during Season 4's finale? He also told her it was "too early" for him to sing her Beers in Heaven. I think he's finally taking it slow and trying hard to work on a real relationship (imagine the inner turmoil, LOL). Jim's giving him good advice!

Oh, and my FAVORITE "that's what she said" was during 'conflict resolution' (season 2) when Angela says to Micheal "You already did me" and it pans to Jim who mouths "that's what she said" while you can hear Michael saying it. I Jim.

She did tell him she was inseminated from the sperm bank near her yoga studio--so he already knows it isn't his, right?

I missed it not being on last night. The V.P. debate was mildly fascinating in it's own trainwreck sort of way, but there is nothing like a little Thursday Night Office.

Yes, because he said to Jan's belly: "Who's your daddy? Oh, you don't know who your daddy is do you?" or something close to that.
