So how much can I expect to spend

I know this is going to vary so much according to where different people live, but perhaps I can get a good idea or even an estimate. For a family of 6. None of us are big eaters, my husband is balking at the idea of going back to the TF way of eating so probably won't be eating much. We are just starting again, but have always eaten organic when possible. I make most everything from scratch and will start making my own yogurt as my kids go through an abundance of that. How mcuh can I expect to spend per week at the store? Right now, I'm not making bread, but we don't eat alot of bread.
Is there even a way to calculate it? We get beef from family. Don't eat pork. Never tried Lamb.

If you are already eating organic food and cooking from scratch, I doubt you're budget will change that greatly. Mainly there will be differences in how you prepare food (soaking grains, etc.). The one possible difference will be if you plan to do raw milk. In some parts of the country, raw milk is the same price as organic store-bought milk. In some places though it's more costly.

Thats what I was thinking although in the last year or so, things haven't always been organic. We have been drinking raw milk for a long time now though.

I agree with pp. I don't think your budget will change that much. You don't have to do everything organic -- look for local produce with minimal pesticides. It's much more economical and nutrient dense when it hasn't traveled around the country.

For store bought foods, learn the top foods to buy organic. For example, berries and grains (wheat, rice) should always be organic since they are highly sprayed and contain a high level of pesticide residue. However, things like asparagus and onions are very low in pesticide residue, so you could go conventional with those when you need to.

Cooking TF will make nutrients more bioavailable, and over time, you may find yourselves eating less, which will definitely help your budget.
