We had a fabulous homebirth party on Saturday. She arrived at 12:45, 7lb14oz after a few hours and much pooping. She's a sweet quiet little girl, quite a departure from her older sister. We're all resting up well and everyone's babymooning happily.
I had yet another second degree tear, in spite of being totally in control of my positioning and pushing, I guess I just chose to push really fast and hard at the end there, just wanted it over with! But I have faith that this one was stitched much better and will heal properly. Overall recovery is much better than it was from the hospital birth experience; I'm so much more energetic and bleeding is less and everything (still staying down and behaving myself though! no housework yet).
