allergy-friendly shampoo

We've been using Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo for Alexander, but I don't really like it as a shampoo since his hair is pretty long.

I want something gentle, obviously, with no corn, strawberry, or aloe. We're okay with wheat and soy.

Any recommendations?

Also, he's allergic to dairy, so we stay away from goat milk too.

I really like California Baby for myself and my kids. Not sure if it's aloe free but you should easily be able to look it up online and see.

I know some of their products have aloe - we have their aloe lotion, actually. But she is really upfront about what's in her products and they're free of wheat/soy/dairy etc. So check and see what her site says!

Also, some Targets carry California Baby - otherwise, you can order online. My orders come very quickly. We love her stuff.

ETA:
We used J&J before, and sometimes Gerber bath stuff (before it was bought out by Nestle). Ina used to complain about her arms itching but never had any sign of eczema, dry skin or etc. Once we switched 100% to California Baby, it took about 2-3 weeks and she never has complained about itching since.

California Baby has corn in it. Her website says:
"California Baby utilizes some ingredients derived from corn (and coconut) such as our creams and lotions, shampoo & bodywashes and bubble baths. Here are the California Baby products that are completely free of corn derived ingredients:
Diaper Area Wash
Spritzers
Massage oils
Essential oils"

So that's out.

Thanks though.

Forgot to say we can't have dairy. For some reason I forgot it's used in a bunch of soaps. We don't do goat milk either. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Well that sucks. That's what we use on DD (who is very sensitive to corn.) It doesn't seem to bother her though.

Yeah, I bought some once and tried it and it was disastrous. Then I re-learned to always check the ingredients, even of the natural and organic stuff.

The Soap Shed has all sorts of soaps for baby, from Olive oil to Shea butter. So your not limited to the Goat Milk.

The Soap Shed stuff looks good -- 100% olive oil, unscented. I am THERE! I wonder if it would help my dry skin? DD has had cradle cap since birth (I call it the scalies, which I pick at if she falls asleep in my lap, though that's rare these days) and I never thought about it being a sensitivity to any of the ingredients in the bath stuff. I know it got much better after we took the corn out of her diet, but I hadn't thought about the other stuff. Hmmm.....

DS reacts to the Gerber lavender variety...not to J&J baby. I didn't go for the California Baby because it has a very flowery aroma...(calendula? Chammomile? I forget) I have some allergies there so I didn't think it was a good idea.

Kathy...if there's still cradle cap, have you worked in olive oil or shampoo very gently w/ a soft brush prior to washing? (like old fashioned baby hairbrush). That worked here.
