Food allergies and pickiness

Despite having tons of food allergies, dd has always been a very adventurous eater--until recently. All of the sudden, she won't touch many of the foods she used to love (she's 2.5). I'm a little worried about her current low consumption of veggies and her heavy reliance on carbs, such as bread (rice flour) and crackers (corn flour). On the other hand, I don't want to make food more of an issue than it already is! What do you do with picky, food-allergic kids. I've listed her usual foods below--her diet isn't totally terrible, but it does seem very limited.

Here is what she'll almost always eat:
rice flour bread, plain, with butter, or with cream cheese
cheese
crackers (100% corn)
Just Tomatoes brand dehydrated fruit (banana, pineapple, mango, blueberries)
melon (all kinds)
strawberries
pineapple
oranges
organic, 100% beef hot dogs
corn
mashed potatoes
carrot or banana muffins
CerOs cereal (pinto bean and rice flour)

Here is what she'll often/sometimes eat:
sliced turkey or turkey bologna
roasted chicken
apples
bananas
blueberries
kiwi
soup (bean or chicken, usually with some veggies, like carrot and celery)
onions
broccoli (only a few bites, generally)
rice flour pasta
oatmeal
avocado/guacamole
quinoa-corn salad w/ scallions

She'll eat veggies in a stir-fry (scallion, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, even cabbage), but generally won't touch left-overs; yogurt only rarely; sometimes a few bites of hamburger, or millet-veggie loaf, or lamb chop, or chickpeas. Unusual fruits or veggies sometimes get through (she ate a few bites of artichoke the other day). She won't touch sunflower seeds or sunflower butter, asparagus, green beans, or blended soups (even when we try serving them as dips). She won't eat salad, except maybe a couple of bites of cucumber. She likes cow's milk in her oatmeal, but won't drink it plain.

It actually sounds like she's doing fine. I had a really great ped. when my first was born and he told me never to look at what he eats in a day, rather, look at what he eats in a week. Kids will have days when they don't eat much at all and then they have days where they eat great, so his advice made sense to me!

Sounds great to me! You can add alot of stuff to soup and muffins.

My dairy allergic toddler is quite a bit pickier than that. I just hide stuff for right now and keep offering.

I think one of my worries is that she's allergic to a lot of vegetables--tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, and everything in the squash family (zucchini, squash, pumpkin, etc.). So if you eliminate the veggies she can't eat and the ones that she WON'T eat...there's not a lot left! And a lot of our good "sneak stuff in" meals (like the millet-veggie loaf) have fallen out of favor. Looks like I need to get better about making soup.

Honestly, I think she would happily eat nothing but bread, crackers, cereal, and Just Tomatoes fruit, if we let her. And Ian's allergen-free French toast sticks. She LOVES those.

Your DD is young, but I always think that if they're hungry, they'll eat what you make. My DD can't have gluten, dairy, corn, soy, and eggs. She didn't want to eat anything I made at first and now because she's hungry, she has to. She's learned to love the foods I make. Well, not all of them, but at least she will have bites of everything I put on her plate!
