storing used momma cloth

what do you ladies use for storage of used cloth proir to the wash?
also do you use just cold water or do you add TTO or vinegar?
i was thinking a celery keeper type of container would do the trick. small non obtrusive(sp) nd easy to find .

i have a pull out plastic drawer in my bathroom. and two hemp bags that came with a pair of earth shoes that i bought (1 shoe in each bag..it was interesting). 1 bag is for clean, 1 bag is for dirty. the bag gets washed with the pads. the only other things in the drawer is my husbands beard trimmer and some extra soap. i've never noticed a smell in that drawer (soap or otherwise).

i only wash in cold water.

I toss them in the diaper pail - with the diapers.

My washing machine is in my bathroom, so most of the time I put the used cloth directly into the washer and then it gets washed in the next load. If the washer is running, I'll put the pads into a small plastic container I keep next to the toilet- no water or anything; just a dry container. Ideally I'd like to get a small "trash" can with a lid for that purpose, but I have not yet gotten one.

If I can convince my DDs to use cloth, we'll need a container of some sort, large enough to hold cloth for 3 women- but for now one DD isn't quite old enough and the other is using disposables (this is only her 2nd cycle ever so there's still plenty of time to convert her! )

When I wash pads, I generally just use cold water and mild soap, no additives- unless the pads end up thrown in with a load of towels and/or tablecloths, in which case I'd use warm water and non-chlorine bleach.

When i soak (winter months, usually) I just use a plastic Folgers coffee can with a lid and plain water, and the soak water goes to my houseplants.
More often than not, i give them a quick rinse under the bathroom faucet and toss them in that day's laundry.

never ever rinse or pre-soak. no problems. If I'm not washing diapers (none since 2006), or if I am not starting a load of laundry then & there, the used pads just go in the laundry hamper. I wash the pads with our underwear - usually warm water, sometimes non chlorine bleach. Or, with diapers, there is a cold pre-rinse. Haven't actually used any pads since March, though except as liners on hot days ... tmi ...

I just keep mine in a diaper wet bag that zips, and then wash the wetbag with the pads.

I add vinegar to the rinse cycle.
