Yay! Bum rash gone! What now?

It's crazy... 6th day of a modified TED and the rash is almost gone. It was actually getting worse and then overnight... *poof* gone. Big sigh of relief.

Even more relieved because I was not eating any meat for the first 5 days of the TED because I had reason to suspect that meat proteins might have been causing issues so I only introduced ground turkey yesterday and so far, so good. I hope it stays that way.

So now what should I do? How long do I wait before adding something else? The typical 3-4 days or should I give it longer since I am worried about the meats?

Hooray! It's such a good feeling when something finally helps!

(Can't help with the questions, as I am new at this, and only dealing with a few allergies.)

Bump.

If all the symptoms are gone, I'd say it's okay to add another food. Wait 4-5 days. Then another. Don't get excited and suddenly add 10 new foods or stop at McD's or something. Go slow. And keep a journal.

The journal has been kept for weeks now And it really is totally helpful. Now if only I had really understood how to analyze poo this whole time I think I'd be a few steps further. But oh well... I don't think I truly know what poo is supposed to look like. Since the turkey introduction I've noticed mucus and watery poos... but honestly, I don't know if it was like that before or not. I am out of turkey so I'm going to avoid it again for a few days and see if I actually notice a change in the poo. And the bum rash came back a bit more too. Baby steps

Thanks Mamas

my DS can't do turkey either. At least if you take out the turkey and the rash goes away again and the poo goes back to normal, you know one thing more than you did!
