need a bedskirt/ dust ruffle idea

So my DDs new big girl bed has the bed slats, so a traditional bed skirt wouldn't hang down because it would get caught.

Any ideas of what i could do to make some sort of under bed storage hiding thing.

Could you use velcro to attach a skirt to the underside of the bed's side-rails?
