Hello all,

i am not familiar with all the abbreviations used here, hopefully over the next nine months and beyond i will get there! my husband and i just got a positive result on sept. 14 after two years of trying! (and two more positives after that since i needed to further convince myself!)i am still in a bit of shock. i have my first doctors appt tomorrow morning and it can't come soon enough! i just want a professional to tell me i am pregnant! i am anxious to know my due date and how far along i am. the first day of my last period was july 29 and my cycles are typically 35-38 days long. does anyone know how far along that would make me? the only symptoms i've had so far are sleeplessness, a few mood swings today and some light cramping last week. so far, not so bad!

Welcome and congratulations!

Were you charting or taking OPK's? That usually makes it easier to figure out a due date, since you could ovulate anywhere between those 35-38 days it's difficult to figure out how far along you are without knowing the time you ovulated. Doctors like to use the 14 day rule but it really varies from woman to woman.

i'm not sure when i ovulated. i'm sure it wasn't day 14 though - it never is. i stopped charting this summer because we were moving from st. louis to maryland and into a new house, new job, and i was completely stressed so i put aside charting. i never imagined i would get pregnant during that stressful time! i'm guessing i ovulated somewhere around day 19 or 20?

welcome to the club- we're glad to have you! The abreviations come with time! I think there are a few threads lurking around with some definitions, try searching for one if you get too lost!

Congrats and Welcome!! Give yourself a little time with all the crazy letters but once you have them it will be nothing.
