I had an extreme case of pre-e after I went into labor with my DS this year. To sum it up, my blood pressure was up for 3.5 days, my kidneys and liver seized, brain almost seized/ almost had a stroke. My OB said that I would need to wait at the least 3-4 years before trying, although she did say that since I had such an extreme case of pre-e that I may want to not get pregnant again....and I want to have a HUGE family. So anyone else been through this or have any advice?

I am sorry you went through that, it sounds like a scary ordeal
I think that a second (and third and fourth, if necessary) opinion is in order. Find out and research all you can about your condition, how likely it is to repeat, any prevention measures (if there are any). The internet can be an awesome resource. Perhaps you could find some information by browsing through the birth professionals forum here? Knowledge is power! Talk to more OB's and Midwives. Sometimes a different perspective helps.
I hope you can find the information you are looking for and that you have a chance to go ahead with your big family

I had a similar experience (kidneys & liver shutting down, high reflex response indicating abnormal brain activity - I was on bed rest for a couple of weeks to get DD past the premature stage, and when she was born they found out my placenta had aged to the point where it was barely supporting her) and all my midwife said was that the majority of cases (like 96/97%, can't remember exactly - definitely high 90s) were seen in 1st time births. She didn't say anything about waiting to conceive again because of it. I would ask for a second opinion. (And then come back and report here
)
)Thank you all
: I will definitely need to! I do still have hypertension though so I need to deal with that
