Well, I am always hesitant to post anything I do that is a lookalike. But here they are anyway. Hope I don't get in trouble...I'm never sure of the ethics. Is it okay if I did them from scratch and they are only for personal use?

I think it's fine if you're not planning to resell them! I wish I could figure out how to make my own chart-I'd love to have a pirate pair.

Those are awesome! I contacted the mama who makes the original last year, and she had no plans then for making a pattern available, unfortunately.

Which is too bad, because I'd buy it! She could make them for personal use only, not resale. OH well.

But writing and selling a pattern is a whole lot of work. I don't blame her for not wanting to do it, but I'd have bought one.

I saw the buttknits pattern but I wanted that huge toothy short row grin. That was pretty much my main reason for making them. I love the grin!

A copy of those longies is on my to knit list! I was hoping to get a pair done for Halloween but with xmas coming I don't think I'll have time. Yours came out so adorable!
