Just thought I'd post an update. I had a midwife appointment today. I'm "favorable" whatever that means! Still at 3 cm. Membranes are still unattached after last appt. The midwife says that there are 4 of us patients that are "favorable" so she's guessing all of us will go this week at the same time!
If no baby by Friday, we go back for an ultrasound (that will be fun!) and a non-stress test. Then we talk induction. If things look good with the baby, they'll let us go until the next week (our preference).
Husband is saying Saturday since he knows I'd rather not have the baby on my birthday - he figures the baby is stubborn (like me he says ) so it will happen then, just because it is not my preference.
In the meantime, she gave us lots of "natural" ways to encourage labor. So I'm at home resting now. Then will go eat some spicy food and take the dog for a walk! She also told us to "do it like rabbits" which made Husband VERY happy and me grimace. I mean, after an exam like that, well, definitely not foremost on my mind !
Ironically, this midwife is one that I didn't particularly care for at the beginning. But the more I get to know her, the more I like her - she is very laid back and much more inclined to do things naturally. She is not going to push us for an induction at all, unless medically necessary. Which she says rarely happens.
