Nearing the end of the month -- who's left?? - Page 4

a friend posted this on my facebook yesterday. i printed it out and put it on my fridge. i thought everyone else could use it to:

These Last Few Hours
It is important to me
that I spend a part
of the next few hours
here alone with you
in the darkness.

You and I will never be
this close again.
Soon you will be
a tiny person
all on your own.
No longer the kicking,
demanding bulge in my body
that I have grown to love so much.

I pray that you will be safely guided
on your journey to my arms
and I ask for the strength, courage and
the power of birthing, to open my body and mind for you
And ever so gently us as one will become two.

Oh, I really like that.

Still here -- I'm 42wks today (or 41+5) depending on which EDD you go by....
I'm probably going to get my membranes swept today...

Thanks, PassionateWriter! That is really nice! I needed that.

I'm 40 weeks today (or tomorrow or whatever). Trying so hard to be patient and realize that my mind has relatively little control over this.

Still here... depending on whether you ask me or my midwife, I'm either 41w+1d or 41w+2d. Either way, I'm still pregnant and frustrated over it.

I keep trying to surrender to the fact that I have no control over this, but it's really difficult. I had really hoped to have a September baby -- I don't know why -- but it looks like that may not be happening.

I really appreciate this poem and I just unleashed a flood of emotion. Thank you for posting this! We are at the end of a long journey and I haven't even thought of putting proper closure on it and the last line is perfect. Wow. Okay, I need more tissue.

I'm thinking the 3rd- 6th for me. Last week my MW said "any day"... so... we'll see. Its strange b/c with my first he came at 38 weeks so going full term even "late" is so different. This baby is already bigger than my son was two weeks old!

*sigh* still here at 42 weeks. just trying to keep my patience and not bite peoples heads off when they ask if ive had the baby yet.

i actually tried to induce yesterday with blue cohosh (my nosy neighbors were out of town and im having a homebirth so it seemed like the perfect time. obviously baby thought otherwise). it definitely causes more noticable and lengthy contractions but after twelve hours of walking around and contracting it was obvious the baby was uninterested in coming out :/ so today im resting and trying to remember that he will come out, just not on my schedule! guess he wants an october birthday!!

I had some serious contractions earlier today and made the mistake of telling ONE person in my family. Wouldn't you know I got four calls back within the hour --including a call from my in-laws. AAAAHHHH! Of course, everything ground to a halt shortly after that. Obviously, this baby wants an October birthday, too.

I'm still here ... today was my EDD, and baby is still cooking. She is also doing gymnastics or ballet or martial arts! Tomorrow I'm going to see my chiropractor to get an adjustment done on some bone behind my left butt cheek. It hurts pretty badly. My midwife suggested I go to my chiro for that because I need my pelvis to be in good shape for the birth. Who knows, maybe baby is just waiting for me to do that so she can get in proper position!

Today is 40 wks for me too, and looks like I'll be having an Oct baby after all.
im NOT going to think about having a baby today! lol!
Definitely having an October baby now - only two hours and 9 minutes left of September!

Yeah, now I'm glad that each of my kids have their "own month" now

im confused...arent 2 of your kiddos born in Oct???

maybe its my pregnancy brain or im reading your siggy wrong. ????

what i was really wanted to avoid was ds4 being born on ds1's birth day. i wouldnt have done anything to prevent it or anything but i just wanted him to keep his day....and since the guestimated date was 9/29, i was hoping to go into Oct. and avoid 2 Sept. bdays.

still here. *sigh*

I am still here too. Contemplating a trip to the far away co-op/grocery store. Perhaps if I venture an hour away from the birthing center I will spontaneously go into fast and furious labor? Yeah, right.
