If you read my post about my sons two month appt....you'll know I got the dtap. He acted really weird that day and I wanted to know what your thoughts are about it.

Later that day we were on our way home from mother in laws house. LO was exhausted. He had been crying a lot that day but, he does have mild colic. Anyways, I was trying to talk to him and smile at him and he was just staring at me with his mouth open. It was weird. He looked like no one was home yanno. I tried to make him follow my finger but he wouldnt. This lasted a few minutes and then he fell asleep. He also slept thru the whole night which he doesnt do normally. DH thinks he is fine but, I am wondering as the paper the pedi gave me said a uncommon side effect is seizures (jerking or staring). This was on thursday. He has been his normal self since then.

I am currently looking for another pedi.

I know a glazed over look is a common reaction to vaxes in general. I don't know what the cause is. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I have read the same thing that a seizure is not necessarily noticeable and it can be that shocked 'not there' look. Hard to know, though what really happened. I would write everything down and consider reporting to VAERS.
