I'm due on Halloween, so I'm not going too far out for myself and i don't get to spend as much time on costumes as i usually do...
BUT, DD's costume is done... I think
I got a very nice tiger costume at the thrift store, has a stuffed head and everything. I made her a t-bone steak bag today. Lemme tell ya, it is FABULOUS and it will probably be my purse for a while
As soon as the camera batteries charge, I'm posting pics!
I think I might be able to talk Dh into being a tiger-tamer... He's got the shiny "rock star" pants already, and I've got a bedazzler!
But what in the world would big ole pregnant me be to go along with them? I might not be able to ToT this year, so I'm holding back
Maybe a fortune teller with a crystal ball painted on my belly? Does that go with the "circus-y" theme?

MY son is staying pretty strong with the werewolf choice, and dd changes everyday from unicorn to butterfly princess to strawberry shortcake... so I'm not sure what she will be.
So for now I'm thinking some fun fur, just for hands/paws and feet, with jeans and a turtle neck with fur sticking out the clothes. Then a head band or hat w/ furry ears, face paint. I will probably use elastic to strap the hands and feet with fur. cardboard claws that are painted....
any other ideas or suggestions would be lovely.

Noli wants to be a ghost. I think I'm going to throw a sheet over her head and call it done.

That's EXCELLENT!! You should TOTALLY do that.
I don't think we're going to do halloween this year, since Ian's only going to be 2 months old... but NEXT year, my dachshund is going as a chili dog, and my son will either be a milkshake or a side of fries. We don't eat fast food, we just play it at Halloween.

We canceled our annual costume party so I won't be making costumes for dh and I this year but I did put something together for dd1.
She's in love with all of Hayao Miyazaki's films so I made her a Kiki costume out of a large velvet shirt from Value Village. Just added an elastic in the back and cut it up a bit to fit.
She tried it on last night and was asking me if she could go fly now. She's so freakin cute!
