Hi! Please hijack...I'm just glad to see other moms from Ok posting here, doesn't matter which thread

I keep meaning to visit the AP group, oh, for about years now, ever since I first saw the flyer at the library.
As for shopping. I am so evil and do most of my shopping at Sam's club

But for healthy stuff (hey, Sam's has organic veggies and fruit) I drive to OKC/I 240 and hit the health food center. There's a Dodsons in Norman but calculations are we save money even with the drive up there.
I don't know about family doctors, I have one but the kids go to a pediatrician (Dr Vic Wilson, the bow tie dr lol)
Parks...there are so many wonderful parks and places in Norman. Our favorite parks are Andrews (by the library) and Lions NE (off of e 12th, and high meadows...has a pond!) and we LOVE to go hiking at Sutton Wilderness. It's an acreage just north of Robinson on 12th street. It's not really wild, for a wilderness, but just right for a fun day hike, picnic lunch, and some rock climbing. We love going Lake TBird for hiking...with the little ones, we'll drive out Alameda to South Sentinal, there is a road that's blocked off, and it's hiking enough for them. We can play at out Zoom Beach (a little further down) because it's nice and full of sand. And if you want to drive clear over to the south side, clear bay area has a really excellent nature center (we like the old one better, but the new one is very nice)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions of stuff to do around here. Can I ask, where do you usually go shopping and get your fresh produce around here? And is there such a thing as a family practice doctor we could go to in the area? Are there great parks you love, or special places you go to get your kids to run around and get all their energy out?
Sorry if that's hijacking the thread or whatever. I read a lot of online forums but haven't really posted before now, am not incredibly forum-savvy...Anyway, thanks again, and hope you see you all around!
