Do any of you use it? Why do you use it? What kind of skin does it tend to help?

If you don't use it, does it contain any ingredients you wanted to avoid?

Thanks!!!

I have acne and it did not help me..

It got rid of my acne but left my skin red, irritated, and overly sensitive especially to the sun. I used it for several years and I'm still trying to repair the damage.

I've recently been using this product instead and like it a lot:

http://www.bestbathstore.com/acne-tr...treatment-gel/

They offer 5 free samples and all you have to pay is the shipping. The acne treatment is all natural with good ingredients. I think the acne scrub, some of the bar soaps and bath salts are also all natural.

I used it for face and body acne and it didn't work for me. I have since found out my acne is 100% hormonal. If I am pg or take oral bc, I am completely acne free.

One herbal prep that has worked for my acne is Saw Palmetto. It works to reduce testosterone. It also helped with unwanted facial hair. I take two softgels a day, 300 units I believe.

It worked for me but it has horrible chemicals in it and personally I'd never use it again.

Actually what worked as well was cleaning up my diet (turns out I'm highly sensitive to sugar) and using the following skin care regime: wash with honey (use as a mask when I need it), witch hazel for toner and jojoba oil for moisturizer. When I do get a zit, I put honey on it and put a bandaid over it--usually gets much smaller and less red by morning.

I used it when I was living with someone with occasional cystic pimples. I would get weird bumps on my forehead and chin. IME if you're really good about washing for the entire 90 seconds like the package directs and then following with the toner and treatment it works.

It's not at all 'natural'.

I prefer Lancome's line for oily skin if you're committed to a whole routine.

I used it before I had my DD (5) for over a year, it worked great and was happy especially since I struggled with acne for years.

I stopped when I got pregnant. Haven't used it since, my acne has gotten better miraculously.

I did notice that my face changed and became very light skinned (i'm black) like it was bleaching my skin. That's one of the reasons I stopped using it.

Also I was very sensitive in the sun felt like a burning sensation. I have never had a problem being in the sun except when I used it.

I heard (from an Arbonne rep, so grain of salt perhaps) is speed up the skins natural renewal process, so that while you may have clearer skin now, you will get older looking faster.

i used it with very good results for five years or so. i got acne in my twenties ( i escaped my teens without it) but i began getting acne when i used birth control. i couldn't handle the hormones, so i stopped, but the acne kept coming. anyway, i ordered it from the infomercial. it was the first and last time i ever did that. but i actually thought it was a good product for me. i didn't have a lot of sensitivity like the pps. the results were nice.

i stopped using it a few years ago, because i was getting the packages every two months and they were building up. anyway, i just stopped using it and my skin has been clear ever since. anyway i do think it was the daily regimen. it was the first time i really began following a strict routine of washing for 90 seconds, toner and moisturizer every morning and night. i like the suggestion of honey, witch hazel and jojoba oil. i actually use dr. haushka's day oil for my daily moisturizer and i think it is simply perfection.

It contains benzoyl peroxide which is fairly harsh chemical. Lots of people complain about redness, sensitivity to the sun, I see even the one post said it started to bleach the skin.

I wanted to take it recently, I have acne after having my DD 2 years ago. I had glowing, beautiful skin while pregnant, actually I've had great skin for years. After DD I decided to be a SAHM and to save $$ started using cheaper products. BIG mistake, huge....and my skin has suffered immensely. I recently ordered my expensive products and they worked for a few weeks. I started researching acne, and it's causes. Mine is hormonal mostly, but I also think my system has been sluggish and as been building up toxins. So I started taking zinc, evening primrose oil, and probiotics to help internally. I also started doing a simple wash with Dr. Bronners, and then using vitamn E oil, and a tea tree antiseptic on my pimples. The results have been pretty amazing.

I think I will add the honey, witch hazel and jojoba too-that sounds helpful also. I like the honey and the band aid idea-I'll have to try that.

the way it works is glycolic acid in the toner and benzoyl peroxide in the wash and treatment lotion. it works, but can be too harsh for some people's skin. if you want to do it yourself for a lot cheaper, get a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide product (neutrogena and paula's choice make one) and a glycolic acid lotion or liquid (again, neutrogena or paula's). just read the ingredients. i alternate treatment days with just plain moisturizer so i don't get dried out.

that crap that the arbonne rep said is just that, crap. as though your skin only has so many layers, like a tear-off calendar, and when you get to the end, you die. the truth is exfoliating your skin more quickly via these chemical peeling agents makes it look younger - like retin-A/renova, various peels done in a doctor's office, and in the quicker cell-turnover rates in children and pregnant women. the things that cosmetic people will say to sell you stuff. arbonne has nothing active in it and is just very expensive. i have also done honey wash and jojoba oil moisturizer, and it makes for pretty skin, but didn't help my zits.
