Anyone else starting to feel a bit frantic?

About getting ready for labor and the baby I mean? It's like the more contractions I have, the more panicky I start to feel. Today I just feel like I'm running around with my head cut off or something (like chickens..). Like I have so much to do and I suddenly have to get it done now, now, now!

Maybe it's because this is our first baby and I have zero experience with young infants... So I just have this pressing feeling of urgency like I have to get everything just right before the baby is here or it will be a disaster

Anyone else feel this way?

Yeah, I know what you mean. As anxious as I am to have this baby, I have this sense that everything has to be exactly perfect before heading to the birthing center or life cannot continue afterwards. As if having a basket of laundry or a dirty kitchen floor is the end of the world. I guess for me it's also because this is my first and I don't know what to expect.

Yes, but in a different way... I'm feeling stressed out and upset because it hasn't happened yet.

Oddly enough, I was less stressed about the shape of my house with my first. Now that I'm experienced at running a semi-tight ship, I'm afraid of it all falling apart!

I've been on a cooking and cleaning frenzy as well. I can't imagine being able to relax during labor if my house is a disaster.

This is exactly how I feel. This is my first and I have no idea what to expect. I want everything to be perfect -- as if it will matter once I'm holding my precious baby.
