I've had the flu once in my life...the year my mother convinced me to get a flu shot. I ended up spending Christmas in the hospital after my fever spiked to over 104. None of my family would come visit me because the docs told them I was shedding influenza and highly contagious, so I was alone the whole time, too.

Before I went to california I had frequently got a flu shot I would always end up with a fever and throwing up but i didn't make any connection til when I was in california for 5 yrs didn't get a single flu shot as soon as the flu shot was around I got me & brendan the shot one shot for him when he was 8 months old . I spent so much time throwing up that i had to get a shot in my butt to stop from throwing up.

I got sick with the pukings at least 6 x out of that year !

This year oh I got the major aching throat ickies! May we ended up with the pukies but not as bad as it was when i got the shot and we didn't end up having a 'fever' because we got no shot.

Brendan got it before me and i got it 3 days after him . he got over it 3 days before i got over it and wanted to play !

I know mom will proably press it on and everything but I'm like hoping she learned her lesson!
