Okay I just ordered the Tracy Anderson Post-Pregnancy dvd... Anyone tried this? Heard anything?
I just ordered it a couple days ago - I saw a little bit of the Oprah show and was pretty impressed. I never watch Oprah so I figured it was meant to be! I can't wait until it gets here! (I'm 5w pp and ready to get moving!).

I just got mine and it is so funny how she looks like a porn star. DH is like "what is THIS video?" haha.

It says you should start as soon as your MD gives you the okay, so you're in the clear... I, on the other hand, ahem am 9.5months pp. oops. And I'm not starting today because I have a terrible cold and that would make me so irritable!

Anybody stick with this? I just got the DVD last week (2.3 YEARS postpartum! ).

I've done the workout 3 times and my skin is undeniably tighter. I swear. My husband concurs. And before I started I heard her claims about skin tightening and thought they were bunk, but figured I could at least try to get my abs in better shape. I don't know how the skin tightening works, but wow, it is motivating!

But seriously, there is no way I'd be able to do this workout 6 weeks postpartum. I think I'd start w/Helene Byrne's DVD, and then go to Tracy Anderson.

OK I've been holding off on getting this cuz I'm not so great about working out at home. I have two DVD's I haven't done ONCE! Lame! I go to the gym 4 days per week... just can't get motivated AT home.

Anyway! Thank you! Especially the last post about it helping to tighten skin!?!?!? Are you kidding!??! I'm sold right there!

Thanks! I'll order it and try to remember to get back on here to give an update.

Hey Moving Mama,

Did you keep with it?

I have to admit, VERY embarrasssed, I never tried the DVD! I am going to try it this week...

So is it still working??
No, I haven't! Between sick kids and a sick self, I didn't fit this in in Feb.

Here's to trying again!

So is this good for ab separation, or counterproductive like pilates, and some yoga moves, and traditional crunches.

Skin tightening... seriously? I need that.
There is a section w/piking. You could skip moves that strain your separation... I have a separation & have done a lot w/Helene Byrne's program & some w/ Julie Tupler's (though I found the number of repetitions she recommends utterly impossible to achieve and still have any time left in the day ). I don't know that Anderson's is improving the diastasis, but it doesn't seem to make it worse & my abs are getting flatter.

I haven't tried the postpartum one, but I have the other two. I haven't done much with the Cardio Dance, but I like the Mat workout, I definitely see results when I use it consistently.

I would love to give this video a shot -- you ladies sold me! -- but $30? Really? Maybe my library will have it...

I justify the cost of exercise DVDs by comparing them to the cost of a class IRL.

Oops, I didn't mean to insinuate that it wasn't worth the cost for others Just for *me* since I *do* pay a gym membership that includes IRL classes each month

No worries! I was just sharing my justification in hopes it might work for you, too!
