I have a friend like that - I think that she is just trying to justify her choices to herself, and perhaps feeling a little guilty when she sees me BFing. Deep down, I think that she knows BF is best. I don't think any amount of research will make her openly admit it. After all, it would mean that she would have to admit that she made a huge mistake in regards to her child's health and well-being.

I don't think the formula companies would say that BM was best (as in better than formula) if it were not the case. It's not exactly in their best interest or good for business to suggest something is better, kwim?

it's NOT the magic bullet. Sometimes BF kids will have allergies and ear infections and some FF kids are as healthy as can be.
BF decreases your odds of different health problems. There are no guarantees. But when your kids' LIFETIME health and well-being is on the line, why take any more chances thatn you have to?
