Looking for a fabric

I have a friend due in January. She is going to be trying her hand at cloth dipes to start. I'm pretty sure her husband will probably collapse at the first poopy diaper, but Nan is of stronger stuff.

She collects Smurfs. So, I'm looking for smurf fabric to make either a changing pad, or some diaper covers with.

I've searched online, ebay, fabric stores. Nothing.

Any other ideas?

What about cutting up a smurf comforter or sheets or something? Maybe they don't make the fabric but you could repurpose something? That would be great for dipes as it would probably be super soft.

D'oh! Why didn't I think of that.

Now to find some...

Here. These sheets would make a good changing pad cover or three...maybe a basket liner for a changing table diaper basket, a diaper stacker, whatever. It's probably poly-cotton, so not so great for diapers themselves...but the accoutrements, yes.

Perfect! Thank you!

I was actually thinking just diaper covers, not diapers themselves. Lining it with PUL or maybe diaper fleece.

I like the other ideas too. Coolio! :
