FO - my first knitting project!

Ok - firstly i gotta saw i usually crochet, but i've been waiting to learn to knit for eons. I spent $2 on this little gnome pattern and i was able to whip it right up - best $2 i spent learning to knit!

The gnome is the 2nd one down i think

Ok - this is a magic gnome pattern - i swear! Not only am i knitting now (seriously - i couldn't before this), but one of my best friends has gotten better at knitting too!!!

Super cute! I am in the process of learning (or rather relearning - I knew how as a child) to knit as well. It seems SO much more awkward than crochetting for me!

I might have to get that pattern, if for no other reason than maybe it will show me the light in terms of knitting. I just don't find it intuitive at all!

I know!! I've been crocheting since i was 9 (though, mostly since 20)... its like breathing... knitting - well, i'm getting there It helps i think that i am also working on teaching my kids to knit (finger knitting for now)

I know... i've tried before (thanks to the knittinghelp.com videos) and i got this pattern out of the blue and it was like a light went off.

u have that pattern too i made 3 my daughter chewed the hats sooo much she broke the yarn ugh....

ill make more though she loved them Gnomie she called them

I just did this for my first knitting project too, thanks to you for posting this link! It was surprisingly easy and now I'm pumped to do more.
