Fireproof

Fireproof with Kirk Cameron comes out today. Our church has reserved a theater in October, and I want to see it so badly but probably won't be able to. My mom is going to see it, and she's the only one I would leave my 2 month old with. I believe the message of the movie will alos apply to those who are not Christians: Your marriage is worth it. Work through your problems and don't give up!

How sweet: On the radio, Kirk said that his real wife Chelsea doubled as his on-screen wife in a kissing scene because he didn't want to kiss anyone but his wife.

We're looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully soon! Our pastor has been doing a series on marriage during the month of September and he's shown some clips of the movie. It looks great!

DH and I just saw this movie tonight at MIL's church! It was excellent... probably the best movie I have seen in a long time... I laughed, I cried... I was happy, sad, tense, you name it!

I highly recommend it!!

We just saw this and I really liked it! I loved:

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!

1) the jokes/camaraderie between the firemen
2) "You never leave your partner, especially in a fire"
3) I teared up when Catherine find out he was on day 43 when he could have stopped at Day 40
4) I wanted so bad for Caleb to be the one who paid for the bed/wheelchair for C's mom, but I had a feeling it was Gavin who did just to impress C. I LOVED that I was only partially correct and was thrilled to find out Gavin gave only a small amt, while Caleb sacrificed his boat savings to cover the $$$ bed/chair that meant so much to C's family, that made me cry
5) I LOL when Caleb confronted Gavin (that was so hot LOL); "Hey doc, thanks for fixing my arm, my ring finger feels so much better" :
6) I LOL at the running gag with the next door neighbors always seeing Caleb with that baseball bat ROFL

Yeah parts of it were stilted and could have been done better IMO, but overall I enjoyed it

loved the powerful message it sent; I thought it was well done and I would recommend this movie

There have been a couple of threads about the movie in the PAP forum. I think this is the most recent:

IRL, all I've heard about the movie is that Christians LOVE it, non-Christians don't think it's very good.
