I agree. I would ask the moderators for it to be removed from a sticky thread, and just unsubscribe from it. You need to take care of yourself right now and not get email updates.

I'm in!

Name: Karissa

EDD: June 3rd

Other children and their ages: Margeaux, 22mo

Hometown/state/province: Seattle

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): WOH, online advertising

Birth plans: Midwife and doula at birthing center

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Um...surprise! In a good way. Guess it was just in the plans for us. Can't wait 'til everybody knows and we're happily in the 2nd trimester. Looking forward to doing it all over again.

Name: Bree

EDD: June 13th

Other children and their ages: This is my 1st!

Hometown/state/province: Utah

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): I'm a nanny, with sah when the babe comes

Birth plans: homebirth with a midwife

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Sooooo excited! I had an early loss in August, so while I'm a little nervous, my tests are much darker and I've actually already passed the point when I lost my first baby. I feel strangely calm about it, but we will still wait a while to tell the world (my family knows and that's it). Dh and I can't wait to become parents!

Name: Karen

EDD: June 24th

Other children and their ages: Mariska Katherine 20 months

Hometown/state/province: Montgomery Cty Maryland

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): SAHM

Birth plans: Still working on it!

Thoughts about this pregnancy: I just did an early pregnancy test last night so it is still sinking in. So excited and yet really, really nervous. I was so calm last time but I had no idea what I was getting into! LOL! I am still nursing my 20 month old and wondering how that will go through pregnancy. I had to cut her back from the million times a day she was nursing to approximately 5x per day where she is now in order to conceive. DD mostly took that in stride so I am hoping we can work together as an obstacles come along. I can't believe I am going to be blessed again!!!

Name: Lauren

EDD: June 24

Other children and their ages: One ds, 9/05

Hometown/state/province: Somewhere near Philadelphia, PA

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): SAHM

Birth plans: I had a wonderful experience at a birth center with our son. I am leaning toward a homebirth this time, although I have lot of talking to do to convince DH.

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Thrilled!!! It took us a while to get here I am already dreading the nausea though. I was very sick with ds and don't want a repeat of that. On the other hand, I want to savor it all because it will likely be our last pregnancy.

Name: Katie

EDD: 6/20/09 based on my dates

Other children and their ages: Tianna - 11, Kierstan - 9, Damian - 5, Brennin - 3, Hamilton - 7 months

Hometown/state/province: Harrisburg, PA

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): SAHM

Birth plans: Another home birth

Thoughts about this pregnancy: I'm hoping for a girl this time to even up the score but if we are blessed with another boy I won't be disappointed. We weren't planning to have any more but this little sweetie has other plans for us. I'm just nervous about having two so close together.

Name: Amy

EDD: app. 6/19/09

Other children and their ages: None

Hometown/state/province: Jacksonville, FL

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): WOH for the city

Birth plans: No clue

Thoughts about this pregnancy: I am terrified. I just did a home pregnancy test about 3 hours ago and it came back positive. I am in the process of a divorce and the baby's father is a FWB -- not even a boyfriend. I am starting a brand new job tomorrow (Monday, October 13) and I don't have insurance. I am, quite honestly, scared to death right now.

Name: Katie

EDD: Loosely, May 30th

Other children and their ages: I have a three year old boy and a one year old boy (and I have four losses--three first trimester losses, one second trimester loss--they were all mixed up with the full-term babies)

Hometown/state/province: Minnesota

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): SAHM

Birth plans: NATURAL, I have an obgyn right now--but I'm considering homebirth...so we'll see

Thoughts about this pregnancy: I've seen a strong, fast heartbeat already--so I'm way more optimistic, but I'm not delusional (I have a bad track record)--I'm incredibly excited though!

Name: Jessie

EDD: early June-ish

Other children and their ages: Nate will be 10 in 2 weeks, Gunner is 7.5, Ana is 5.5 and Ali will be 3 on Wednesday.

Hometown/state/province: Vancouver, WA

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): Neither! I run my own small business from home sewing clothing, diapers, bags and other items.

Birth plans: I haven't thought that far ahead yet. All 4 of my births have been in hospitals, but Dh would love a homebirth. It's something for us to discuss over the next few months.

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Running the gamut of emotions. Excitement, fear, anxiety, happiness ~ it's all there. We thought our last child was our *last* child and gave away every single stitch of baby clothing, every single baby item. We have nothing at all for a baby here. On the plus side, I'm fairly adept with a sewing machine and can turn my skills in making infant items for others into making infant items for my own.

Other children and their ages: I have five beautiful children that are 11,8,6,3, and my youngest turns two in October

Hometown/state/province: I'm in northern Cali

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): Full time student and mama

Birth plans: My last was a UC and i homebirthed all my others and i believe this one will be a planned UC but my good friends consist of midwives and doulas and i know they will want to be at the birth so we shall see!

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Total surprise. I have been on the pill, i am a single mama of 5 babies and i go to school full time and i just recently met a man who we both decided we wanted to be life partners and felt that we were soul mates. After we had that talk with each other about committing to each other for life, i found out i was pregnant. He is a single dad to 1 and i am a single mama to 5 so we are about to make a huge life change with each other. I am feeling optimistically crazy right now. For any of you that may already know me, i left an abusive partner (father to my other children) after many years of marriage and my children and I went through a lot during the last two years since i left. I am raising the kids on my own while going to school full time and i get nothing from the dad and he doesn't visit. So this is huge and intense for me and my family, but somehow it is meant to be so i am going with it. I am a firm believer in manifestation, so somehow this baby is coming to my partner and I (and our respective families) for a reason.

Blissfull Maia i certainly know you and your story and i am very happy to see that you have managed to transcend your relationship to this beautiful level.

Quite the introduction, i know, but since we will be getting to know each other over the next 9 months or so i want you all to know my background first.

Name: Gina

EDD: 6-20

Other children and their ages: Caleb (9), Meagan (7), Abby (11 months)

Hometown/state/province: Very rural SE Nebraska

Occupation (SAHM or work outside the home): SAHM, homeschooler

Birth plans: Homebirth. We tried with Abby, but at the last second, the little squirt turned and presented spine first and since I was already fully dilated and my water was broken, it was too late to turn her. I ended up with a C-section. The surgeon was the best I could have ever hoped for...he was supportive of my homebirth attempt (in a state where it is illegal) and the most empathetic doctor I've ever met. BUT, I really want that homebirth this time!

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Thrilled. Excited. Blessed.

Thoughts about this pregnancy: Super super excited! It took 24 mos for my PPAF to return, and we missed month 1 with DH out of town, and apparently 3rd times a charm cuz we caught the eggie this month! Feeling ready, feel like DS is ready - and so thrilled to share this journey with a dear friend (from my DS birth club!) Hi Erin!!!! hehe!
