So, made some quilt blocks with appliqued hearts, and used a broad, decorative overcast zigzag stitch, after applying pellon fusible iron on stuff, that basically glued them to the background before I did any sewing. I thought the stuff on the back would keep the raw edges of the applique from fraying between the stitches, but now I'm not so sure... Isn't there some kind of something I can put on the edges to help prevent fraying? I feel like I've seen some kind of paint-on fluid that accomplishes this, but I can't seem to place where I've seen it, or what it is, exactly. Really, it could all be in my head, lol. Anybody know what I'm talking about here? TIA!
