Lucas Gage Carroll arrived September 22 at 12:46pm after 5 hours of labor and like 5 minutes of pushing They started my pitocin at around 7:30...broke my water a couple hours after that, then about 2 hours later I got an epidural that wasn't so great, but better than nothing I guess. Not long after that with contractions I started hurting in my cervix and feeling pressure like I needed to poop. Nurse checked me and I was complete and she had me push 2 times and paged the Dr. They prepped me and I pushed 3 more times and out he came! Thank goodness I didn't have an episiotomy ( I told the Dr earlier that I didn't want one, and he said he wouldn't do one unless he thought I really needed one), but I did have a really small tear. He weighed in at 8 lbs and is 20 inches long. He does have some jaundice so we're taking him back to the Dr today for a recheck. I pray it's going down, he poops and pees so much it can't be going up!

He is a cutie! He doesn't look very jaundiced. Chloe is still jaundiced. She's been on the bili blankie for over a week now. Her numbers are going down, but very slowly. And she pees and poops ALL DAY LONG so don't rely on that to make ya think it's going down. She doesn't hardly even look jaundiced anymore - but her numbers are still up there. It's breastmilk jaundice (has to be at this point) though so it can last for a couple months. My oldest son had breastmilk jaundice and was yellow until about 7 weeks old.
