I have always bitten my nails, I think I am finally kicking the habit after 30 plus years! My 'treat' to myself for sucess and also to teach myself a little nail care was to get a manacure... so I went yesterday, paid someone $15 to cut my nails, cut the cuticles and polish them. I have no idea what I soaked my fingers in and dare to even think what was in the arosol they sprayed on them at the end... Even though I probably added a zillion bad parts of chemicals to the environment and poisoned my body... it was fun.
Now looking at my fingernails they are pretty, I asked for something clear, no color and it has a very slight pink hue... I actually like it.
Anyway... here's my question... do thy make a 'natural' nail polish? and how safe is it, both for you and the environment...
And to get the polish off... ??? I have a girly girl manstream friend who I know has some fingernail polish remover that I can borrow a cottonball of to get what I have off... but I know that stuff stinks... but is there anything else you can use or is that it?
I'm not looking at always painting my nails, I do too much gardening and wood splitting to have fancy nails, but for the occasional dress up -treat is there anything half-way safe?
