I'm new to homeschooling & am looking for my niche. Instead of floundering around here & there I thought I'd take the initiative & (hopefully) create what I'm looking for!

(By way of definition, "crunchy" simply means that live a bit out of the mainstream. Do you live an eco-friendly life? AP parent? Gentle disclipine? This is what I'm talking about. )

Im a Granola Christian in Chicago (within the city). Dupage county seems so far away, yet so close!

beansricerevlot, if you don't think dupage county is too far, come join us! when we start having get togethers (hopefully ) they will be out this way but you can make your decision on what is too much for you at that time.

Hello, Stephanie, I may join your group just so I don't have to find it later. My DD is just about to turn 3, we haven't started any "schooling" yet and are undecided if we are going to homeschool or not. (I'm leaning toward it) I'm in Lyons, but head to DuPage more then I head east. So I may just be a silent member for a while. If that's ok.??

Deanna, please join in! I wish I would've gotten connected with the HSing community before I jumped in because now I'm struggling to find my place. We're still small group but hopefully intimate is good.
