desperate housewives!! - Page 3

why did they jump ahead 5 years anyway? i think it would have been more interesting to see how things unfolded after all the changes that occured in the last season.

i think it's harder as a viewer to sit and watch what's happening 5 years down the road when i'm still "attached" to the way things were last season.

TOTALLY!! I can't get it out of my head. BUT- I still think he's hot! (Had total hetero fantasies even when he *was* Brian)

For real?? Wow... didn't even see that. I bet that theory's spot on.

I was quoting the PP who said it was weird to see "Brian" make out with Susan. Brian was the name of that actor's character on Queer as Folk. His character was a huge slut.

that's funny, because i think the actor still can't shake the queer part.

Maybe not. I noticed him on an episode of Grey's Anatomy last season, though. He was the white supremacist with the swastika on his stomach. So... kinda the anti-Brian.

subbing. What Lynette did totally rubbed me the wrong way. I was sad they had Susan divorced yet again.

Subbing!

I've had a really long week (DH is out of town) and it's pathetic how much I am looking forward to watching this tonight. Our cable was out earlier today but luckily it is back on now. Hopefully it will stay on! And hopefully my 4 yo will be asleep by 9 pm!

What did everyone think? I could not believe it when Lynette moved Tom's guitar to the middle of the garage and then blamed her daughter!

And Edie's husband (is his name Dave William??) just keeps getting creepier.

I did like the scene when Gaby threatened to ram Bree's son's new car.
Bree's actions (feeding her vegitarian grandson meat and telling him to lie about it, criticizing Danielle's parenting right in front of the child, etc) were just too horribly close to things my friends, mothers on MDC, and I have experienced to really be funny. Bree is becoming like a terrible cross between my mother and my father-in-law. Yikes!

Honestly, I didn't like ANY of the women this time. Lynette was just awful blaming her daughter for her own deliberate actions. Gaby and Susan weren't using their words (until later).
Okay - i have a very important question. Am I really supposed to believe that it was Susan's first gray hair?
On another note, i think every housewife was just plain awful this episode.

I can't believe how Bree handled everything with her daughter (and i also find it hard to believe what a turn-around her daughter made as a person).
Susan pushed Gaby's daughter! Wow, hello!
Lynette made her husband blame the daughter for a broken guitar.

You know, i'm actually pretty fascinated by Edie's husband. I can't wait to know what his story is. After that speech he gave to Lynette about mid-life crisis, i turned around and said to my husband: "if you get to that stage, you can do whatever you want, (even bang a slut if you want to), I won't get mad, i'll forgive you!"
And i totally meant it at the time.

I have to say....I think Edie's new dh rocks!! If he can get Lynette to do something like give Tom a new bass after she destroyed his old one, I think that's very interesting. Lynette has met her manipulative match!

I am not liking Bree so much this season.

I still hate Susan.....and no I do not believe that was her first grey hair!

what happened to tom's other daughter?

and i agree, all the "main" housewifes were lame last night - i like catherine and karen the best... and susan's "two men".

There is nothing likable about any of these women!

Susan really allowed her 5 year old to play out in the front of the house while she went upstairs to color her hair? Seriously?

Bree really fed her grandchild meat when he's a vegetarian? And two hot dogs? Bree who is a gourmet chef is going to choose hot dogs to feed this kid? Seriously?

Lynette really put Tom's guitar on the floor with a barbie so that Tom would think the daughter did it and then stepped aside to allow her daughter to get in trouble for it? Seriously?

Gabby is actually the most believable but, the whole "fat kid" thing rubs me the wrong way. I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. I do like Carlos and think he's become a really good guy.

None of these characters are likable anymore. Well, really, I like Edie, Karen and Kathryn - I find them interesting but, other than them, I really find the main character women detestable.

And, what in the world is up with Lynette's hair? I know last season she had bad wigs because she had cancer but, it still looks like she has a bad wig on. What's up with that?

Oh and I agree with Edie's husband. He is creepy and manipulative but, he seems to be doing it for good.....the way he is going about it is wonderfully twisty and interesting though

We homeschool so Bree's comments to Danielle about homeschooling really gave me a good chuckle.

I needed that!
