Looks like my baby wants to be in Oct DDC!

Hi, hopping over from September DDC to say hello & introduce myself. Unless The Wee (what my husband/partner and I call the baby, don't know the sex) comes today or tomorrow ... we will functionally be over here with you all! Even if technically the guestimated due date is Sept 29 (today).

Anyway, I'm hanging in there and trying not to be too impatient!

Does anyone else have GIGANTIC ankles every night????? It totally freaks me out. Nothing else swells up, just my ankles (and a bit of my calves) and every morning they are back down (not all the way to prepregancy levels but down a lot, still). It's not painful like heartburn or pelvic pain (the latter I don't have much of), so I feel bad complaining about it, and I don't think it's a problem (blood pressure okay) but it's ... just ... freaky.

Okay. I'll stop rambling now...

Well, even if you have the baby in the next couple of days...welcome to the October DDC! We've got some October due mamas that have had their babies over the last few days so it's going to be anytime now! :

Welcome to the October DDC! I'll keep hoping that your babe doesn't make you wait too much longer, but in case he or she is holding out until October, please keep us posted!

You are most welcome here! Look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to October! We're happy to have you and you're absolutely welcome here! I have a very little bit of swelling on the medial side of my ankles (the inside). My chiro said that part of the foot/ankle correlates directly to the uterus and other sex organs according to acupressure points. It's just the body getting ready!

I was overdue with my 1st by 2 weeks. Hugs! Hang in there momma! It is worth all the waiting

Hi Danielle! Of course you're welcome here! Looking forward to seeing your birth announcement soon!

I have struggled with swelling in my ankles for the last half of my pregnancy. I'm sure you've heard all the remedies by now. Lately, I'm a big fan of keeping the feet up (and being a bit lazy)! I truly have had good results from drinking water with a LOT of lemon juice in it, and doing a few shots of apple cider vinegar a day - ymmv.

Dani!!! I don't have big feet, but I have noticed that I've sprouted cankles. Does that count?

Welcome! We can switch places since my little girl couldn't wait until Oct to be born.

Welcome! My ankles and feet are swollen all the time to gigantor sizes. They go down overnight, but not anything close to prepregnancy.

Hi and welcome !

Girls be careful about that ankle swelling business....... I had that going on and it started getting really bad and not going all the way down at night, then suddenly I had protein show up in my urine.

Thankfully I had a midwife quickly catch it and we upped my protein intake majorily..... and things recovered nicely again. So I have much much less swelling at 39 then I did at 36/37.

We were able to catch things before it messed with my blood pressure, thankfully, they midwives have told me once it hits your blood pressure it's almost impossible to stop eclampsia!

*steps off worry/soap box*

Anyway your very welcome here.. hopefully your baby will come at 'just the right time' no matter what month it is ((hugs))!

welcome, dani! i had lovely vienna sausages for ankles the last month or so of pregnancy #1. putting them up always helped (and of course i was chugging the water), but they puffed up almost every night anyway. it wasn't anything major. just totally weird to look at, right?!

Today is my EDD. Since nothing seems to be happening at the moment it looks like I'm in this DDC too. But no ankle swelling here, just lots of "false labor". Totally annoyed.

I guess I'm joining the October DDC too. My due date was yesterday and I had myself completely convinced I was going to meet my little one before that day. Didn't happen--here I am!
