I'm in Chandler and my nearly 3yo NEEDS something to do. He's pretty wild sometimes and I think he'd benefit from something like karate or gymnastics to help him get control of himself. Anyone have recommendations? The Little Gym has been ignoring me.

Depends where you are/how far you wanna drive/what you wanna spend - SwimKids USA has gymnastics classes for $65 a month... (At least tht was the cost last time DD went there a year ago...) They meet once a week for 30 minutes.....

Or have you tried Gymboree?

Our five-year old is doing soccer with San Tan soccer league. I see some really little kids on the fields on Saturday morning. We've liked it...it's recreational, no pressure, fun for the little ones. Except that it's so dang hot outside, even at 8 in the morning. Should be nice for the winter seson, though.

My SIL enrolled my nephew in some activities through parks and rec in Chandler. We live in Phx and use parks and rec a lot. The prices are good, the quality of the programs has been good, and we see the same families at the pool, community center, etc. It has been a good way to get to know other moms and my kids have made friends, too.

We do gymnastics at Aspire Kids (near Chandler Mall) and swimming at Hubbard (north phx, but opening a location in Mesa).

There's a new place in Ahwatukee called Romp n Roll. They have art, music, gymnastics, etc. The owners are incredibly nice folks. It is located at 48th and Warner, in the strip mall w/ Bashas and Chuck E Cheese.

We do gymnastics at Gold Medal Gymnastics. They have two locations - Arizona Av and Warner and Mclintock and Elliot.

I'm VERY impressed with their program and it's very reasonable.

We like Aspire gymnastics, and I recently learned that Coach Mike, our favorite coach, also teachers through Chandler Parks and Rec. So that's worth investigating for a low cost option. My kids have also been going to Swim Kids for years for swim classes -- amazing program and amazing teachers there.
