Great Lactivism Opportunity: Oprah! - Page 2

Done and done.

I included in my letter that I was expecting to see a positive show, not one that shames breastfeeding mothers.

It's okay for her to use her breasts for sexy lingerie ads but not for a mother to feed and comfort her child?

I honestly think Tyra is not even in Oprah's league and can never dream to be. I'm actually excited to see how a professional, ethical and empathetic talk show host will deal with this subject. I hope she doesn't make me eat my words!:

I sent in a submission. I have nothing to hide and cannot see myself being put into any corners. Nature and science is on my side

I would trust Oprah to handle this well. Of course since she isn't a mother herself, she will not be able to relate, but she has shown that she is becoming more natural oriented. Both Dr. Oz and her OB Dr. Northrup support alternative medicine. Dr. Northrup even spoke out against the Gardisil vaccine. Oprah also had a show with co-sleeping familes and there was positive information there.

I say go for it ladies! That is a huge forum to make a ding in the "breastfeeding is gross and uneccesary" view.

My baby is only 6 months old, so I don't have much to say yet about extended breastfeeding.
