Interesting find on "

I happened to find this online and how to get "hesitant parents" to vax. My favorite has got to be "establish social norm", coming right after "parents like an atmosphere of understanding". Oh, all the oldtime goodies-like "tell parents there is no autism connection" and "identify non-vaxers by lifestyle for early intervention".

:

Just google for "Expert Forum on Vaccine Hesistancy", the first CDC links are it. Amazing.

Ew, this is really disturbing to me. I'll be sure to say, "I read that sentence in the forum too, and found it manipulative and unconvincing" to my ped screening process. Is there some reason, when it seems like everyone and their grandson is having horrible and irreversible reactions, that we're suddenly creating social norms scaring people about measles. Oh yeah, money.

I think I found what you are referring to. Most disturbing.

I love how they say a common reason for "vaccine hesitancy" is that parent's don't evaluate their information sources. Sorry, but I think it is the select/delay/avoid group that does the MOST evaluating. People I know how are vaccinating "on schedule" don't do any research beyond the pamphlet handed out by public health. They want us to eat their "information" like pablum, but critically evaluate everything else?

Then there is this line:

"Prevalence of Misinformation-may mention Mothering Magazine, parents are afraid of everything, afraid of the extremes on both sides"

Nice.
