Child Safety Tattoos - Page 2

I do think it's a good idea in theory. But the fact that a person would have to touch the child to get the information makes me wonder how effective it would be really. I know plenty of children who are perfectly 'normal' wouldn't let a strange adult search their arm for a tattoo. Wouldn't a tag on an item of clothing be a bit more effective?

If you put it right on their wrist where an ID bracelet would go, there's no difference anyway.

There is a difference between a bracelet or tattoo and tag on clothing. There's skin to skin contact when looking at something on the wrist. No so much when looking at something sewn to the shirt or attached to the shoe laces.

I guess. I don't know of many kids that would let someone touch their clothing to look for a tag when they wouldn't let them touch their arm. Maybe my Autistic kids are just super weird? : Mine scream if you go to touch *any* part of them, including their clothing.

I think they are kinda cool. safer than wearing asomething around their neck. i would have loved it when working in nurseries if the kids with allergis had these.

I'm finding myself unsure about this....
I think that I'll just wait and hear more feedback about it.

I have these ones: http://www.fiddledeeids.com/adjustab...elet-p-60.html and these ones: http://www.fiddledeeids.com/compartm...elet-p-61.html and I like them both.

My son wears one all the time. He is very allergic to milk. I think the second link is more obvious and will be having him wear this when we go to Disney World in November. One of my biggest fears is that he will get separated from us somewhere and someone will try to comfort him with food he is allergic to. I would hope that if they see the medical ID symbol they would check it first.
