Sewing on PUL?

Hey everyone,

In the next couple weeks I'll be making cloth diapers, and someone told me today that PUL is very difficult to sew. The person recommended using tissue on the PUL and then sewing. This is giving me scary flashbacks to the one and only time I tried to sew on vinyl.

Do you find PUL to be difficult to sew on? If it is true, should I just buy a teflon foot?

If you have any tips & tricks for sewing easily with PUL please do share!

Thanks!

tissue paper over it works good. Otherwise, I've heard a walking foot works good, but I haven't tried it yet.

I haven't had any problems with it at all-I just use my regular foot, and try not to sew with the "sticky" side down. I've heard you can put tape on the bottom of your foot too.

Thank you both very much. I'm a lot less concerned right now. Hopefully it won't be nearly as difficult as the vinyl was. That is one nightmare I don't want to relive, lol!
