laminated fleece

so dd took a pair of scissors to my jacket, it's a soft shell jacket, so the outside is laminated. Is there a way to fix the jacket so that it's still waterproof?

I found a site to repair a wetsuit and they put glue on the edges, let it dry, then laid the fabric flat so that the edges would bond together. I know that a wetsuit is neoprine, not fleece. Would it work?

Anyone repair a fleece jacket with a snip in it?

Uhg!

Sorry, the only thing I can tell you is neoprene is not waterproof. It lets the water in.But I wasn't clear if you were sating you wanted to use neoprene or just that technique.

We've got a tube of "seam repair" from an outdoor shop. It's basically glue which you are supposed to use if the taping on the seams comes loose but I;d guess you could use it on a cut/tear if you've got another layer of fabric to glue onto.
