I need more ideas...maybe someone else is going stir crazy too?
1 week until due date and EVERYTHING is done - house is clean, diapers washed, nursery ready, bag packed,

Here's what I did today to fill time:

- Washed shower curtains
- Re-packed hospital bags - realized there were a few things I had forgotten!
- Made perenium pads with Witch Hazel to Freeze
- Got a pedicure
- Made a list of labor mantras
- Put candles around for labor

Here's what I am thinking of doing this week:

- Baking energy muffins to have for labor - hubby and doula will need them!
- Face Mask
- ???

Any thoughts on fun stuff to fill time? What are you doing to keep from going stir crazy?

Oh, I could wash my shower curtain. Good idea!

I may go get my hair cut today. I just need a trim... might make me feel good.

I'm fresh out of things to do to occupy my mind. Yesterday sucked so bad, I'm just hoping today I can manage to not cry like a lunatic all day. I think I scared my poor son.

awww -
that was me last week - except i vacillated between lunatic crying and wanting to scream, throw something, and rip someones head off!
Today will be better for you - i feel it!:
Wash the shower curtains. For some weird reason it made me feel better... especially knowing I was going to labor a bit in the tub and wouldn't have to look at dingy curtains...

Thanks. I'm neurotic about that sort of thing. I'm actually shocked that I missed that!

I'm trying to finish up cleaning/organizing the house (not fun!) Fun things I've been doing are cooking/freezing food, knitting, watching movies, reading baby books, and sewing up diapers, clothes, and mama pads.

Here's what I still need to do:

Go to the library and print out copies of Birth plan for nurses
Finalize umbilical cord donation paperwork
Cook meals for mother and my son while I'm at the hospital
Iron all of our clothes
Paint my nails (per my OB's request...he's obsessed with nails)
Clean the bathroom
Crap! I'm just realizing I have to register at the hospital (I thought it was taken care of by my doctors office)
Handle paperwork for my insurance and my LO's insurance

I'm curious about your OB now...

One thing I'm doing is making a sort of diagram of where I keep everything in the kitchen for my mom to use when she comes to "help out" - I hope she really means to help out and not just play with the baby!

Me too.

Anyone who is bored can come over and help me clean. The things I should probably get done and soon are:

-Packed bags for birth center
-Finish cleaning our bedroom so I can have everything for baby all set up and ready
-Clean the guest bathroom so it's ready for when my parents come down (after the birth)
-Clean the kitchen
-About 1,834 loads of laundry
-Teach my dog how to talk so I'll know what he wants when he comes and sits and just STARES at me as I'm on the computer. (Does he need some affection? Scratching? Want to play??) Aw heck. If I can't figure out what my best-behaved DOG wants, I'm screwed when it comes to a newborn, aren't I?
-Think about maybe making and freezing some food

As for those of you who are done with the above type stuff... work on a puzzle? Do some needlework? Read a trashy novel? Sleep as much as you gosh darn want?

I've been vacuuming everyday. Never had cleaner carpets! Yesterday I put together a "pushing" playlist and burned it to 2 CD's for the hospital. Who knows if I'll want music while I'm pushing but I'd like to have it available if I do. Music is a HUGE thing for me in general.

lee-- too funny!

Today I: scheduled my kitten to be spayed. Hopefully when we actually go in next Thursday for the appt. I won't be in labor or anything.

Now that MDC is back up, I'm starting my day a little late b/c I still need to read everything here to start my day right! I love the shower curtain idea. I'll add that to my list today, as I was noticing it last night-- yuck! Also writing thank you notes is on the docket for today. I also need to schedule my photographer for my belly pics session, and get the stuff to make a belly cast.

To finish off this week, I am planning on detailing both of the cars so I can install the carseat bases on something clean. I am putting off my cleaning until next week. I really need to clean the oven, as my zucchini bread overflowed 2 weeks ago, so every time I use it now I'm setting off the smoke alarm. I'll also clean the toaster oven and micro while I'm at that. All the cleaning that needs to be done should take me through the end of next week.

I also plan to update my photo albums, rearrange my clothing/linens storage (it's all in our MBR b/c we have such a small house.) As a result of that, I might just take a load to Goodwill too. I have to finish up a teensy little project for work, but I'm postponing that too. I also plan to wrap the Christmas presents for my nieces and nephew and daughter, b/c everyone else will get a framed family picture/baby picture/ belly pic, depending on who they are.

And, I'm in limbo until my soapnuts come to finish washing my diaper stash.

We're moving - tomorrow!!! Yeah - once that is out of the way I can't wait to get into my nesting. I've been not giving into it 'cause it seems so pointless when we're moving anyway.

I've been keeping myself busy sewing & knitting (finally getting around to figuring it out) stuff for the baby.

One thing I've been doing to pass the time is sew. I made a diaper patter based on the ones I found online and the newborn seventh generation ones I bought, but I just cut out a bunch of fabric and haven't sew them together yet. I've been busy working on a baby blanket which is extremely complicated and huge and just out of control at this point. It's 8.5 by 8.5 ... feet ... and the back is just as intricate as the front of it is with ten different fabrics, all of them with some sort of stars on them (-: hence why I've dubbed it "The Star Blanket". Once I have it fully completed I'll have to post a picture of it here and on my website. So if you're looking for something to do, sewing is definitely my suggestion (-:

You could also try working on a pregnancy or genealogy scrap book for the baby filled with stories and pictures of family present and past .. or passed .. That's what I was doing earlier until I hit a road block and family stopped giving me information :

Good Luck! And hang in there (-: We're due tomorrow and I'm still not ready .. and neither is that damn blanket
