Good luck Carmen!! Your chart looks great!!!

Well, I'm really glad that Lex pointed out that my O date was likely not as early as FF had marked it. And, I'm really glad that KD apparently has super swimmers....I just got a big big big BFP!!! I sort of figured I was, just a feeling, but DP likes the digital "pregnant or not pregnant" test so I did one of those this morning and sure enough, pregnant came up! I'm very, very excited but scared too. I hope this one sticks around

Well, you can officially add me to this list of "my wife now has sperm inside her!"

We just returned from our IUI. It's a great little story, so here goes: When Katie was pregnant with Quinn, she spotted around 11 or 12 weeks regularly for a few days. At one point, it got a bit heavy, so she called our midwives at the time and went in to be checked. I didn't know, as we didn't have cell phones then (gasp!). My friend drove her there then came to pick me up at school and drove me there too. When I got there, I ran into the office to find Katie. She wasn't there, but a midwife, Deb, knew who I was and grabbed my hands, smiled warmly, and said, "It's okay. You're still a Mama." I hugged her so hard. Began to cry. Then asked where Katie was?!?! She had left the front door while I had come in the back. I found her, we rejoiced, Quinn was born many months later, and with a different midwifery practice.

Fast forward almost exactly SIX years, and we call the docs to say we think Saturday will be the day for our insem. They tell us Deb will be on call. She hasn't worked with that practice for about 5 years. In fact, she really only subs for them now. Karma, we thought! And when we walked in, she remembered us. It was wonderful. As the sperm were being washed (fresh shipped by our donor) she first marveled at how many swimmers were there, then we got to tell her about Quinn's birth, which is just always so fun and heart-warming. Then we had a great insem. She let me do the actually insem once she got the catheter through the cervix (took a bit of poking). AND, she had saved all the "extra" to do an IVI, which I got to do too (plus it was a bonus free one, which is always nice).

So, it was a wonderful experience, which adds to our giddiness and hopefully to our pregnancy ju ju.

Here's hoping. Please move us to waiting to know.

be well all,
megin

What a great story, Megin!

Here's hoping that it becomes a part of your next little one's conception story.

Congrats Camen!!! Here is hoping for a sticky one!

I am hoping for super long life swimmers as well since our lost box o' sperm. The first insem was pretty early in my fertile time. By the time we got the lost box for the second insem all the swimmers should have been dead. We popped a drop under the toy scope and saw movement! Not many but still, they were alive! Even though we were pretty sure I'd popped my egg the day before we thought "why not?" and tossed it up. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Good luck to all!

::: Lots of sticky for you, Carmen!

Good luck to Megin's DP Katie and Yona!

If only great stories counted for something in this. At least they give us hope, eh?

I hope to be joining y'all back in the 2ww in about a week!

As I head into cycle # 2, I'm thinking whoah! I'd forgotten about the pace of TTC - that turnaround from waiting to know to waiting to O is intense.

Yes, it is kind of crazy, but also kind of nice to right away have something else to be waiting for. Another chance. Do you know where your sperm is coming from this month?

Dw is feeling totally normal, which is, I guess, how she should be feeling at only 3 dpo, lol. But she hasn't been having any symptoms from the hcg shot, which I take as a good sign that if/when she does get pregnant, hopefully she'll have an easy time of it (I was incredibly sick for the first 5 months of both pregnancies, starting from before BFP).

Gosh, this 2ww is going soooooo slowly.
