Well, I'll go first...
Other than a meeting at work today I may take the littles to meet their homeschool group for popsicles. I've been feeling like just hanging out at home lately (mostly to keep it clean
). I've also been really tired, too. I took a nap with dd yesterday and slept almost 3 hours.
How's your day shaping up??

Good morning! It's October!!!!!!! I couldn't be happier right now. Just downloaded a new album by my favorite band and i'm heading to the chiro in a bit. I thought for sure I was in labor last night but thank goodness, it was just bad food or something. I was so, so tired. I got a good night sleep and I've learned my lesson and will be napping from now on.

Wow, seems quiet around here this morning.
Things are "happening" I think. I've been having strong contractions that are 5-8 min apart since 12:30 am after taking a huge dump. Slept the best I could until 4:30 when I woke DH to give him a heads up. They're 30-45 seconds long. I got up at 7 am and I can't believe it myself, but somehow I was able to go with DH to the animal hospital to drop off Leeloo. I just could NOT imagine not saying goodbye to her just in case...
Anyway, she is in good hands there, we are hoping for the best and now I'm able to just sort of relax and let these contrax heat up (hopefully) b/c I'll be PISSED if this is another false alarm.
I'll post back again if/when things start picking up! Wish me luck!

I always read the weekly thread, but can never keep up. maybe with a daily I'll have some hope.
Good luck, Carrie!!!
I am in about the same boat. I woke up around 12:45 and realized that my whole uterus was sore, like it had been constantly tightened. I laid awake until about 3 and was having contractions about 45 secs long every 4 or 5 minutes. They would back off some in intensity and then get harder.
Yesterday I had an appointment where my MW decided I need some blood work and a 24 urine collection to rule our pre-e. Due to the hassle of the collection (have any of you ever done one of these before? How am I supposed to pee into that stupid little hole when I can't even see it around my huge belly?!) I am staying home today. It is my goal to go into labor today, so I'm going to mess with some of the natural induction stuff - nipple stimulation, etc. Anyone have any other ideas for me?

Yay, Carrie! I hope things are "heating up" for you, as you say! I'll be thinking of you today!
My friend is bringing lunch over today to help cheer me up re: this whole possible pre-eclampsia thing. I've started having talks with Ella and telling her that she can come whenever she's ready, even though we're only at 36w3d. I really don't want to be induced and transferred to OB/Gyn care!

ELVs to any of you who may need them soon! My every evening 5-10 min apart contractions have actually slowed the past few days, so I don't know what's going on. I could use at least another week to get everything done, so I am not minding it right now.
I have been SOOOO tired. I have been "sleeping" for like 10-11 hours a night and I took a 2 hour nap yesterday.
Today my only plans besides organizing more baby clothes (thanks to a new set of hand me downs) are to go with DH to the dermatologist. He has to get an irregularly growing mole on his back cut out. I sure hope it heals before my birthing time because I really want him to be available for the slow dancing (holding me up
).
Carrie, you sound so sad about your cat. I really hope it turns out ok. Sorry you have to deal with that stress right now.

Morning mamas! It's October!!!
Good luck to Carrie and MommaSomeday! I'm thinking about little Leeloo, too, Carrie.
:
MommaSomeday: It is SO true that it's hard to pee in cup at this point!
My plans for the day involve very few chores, maybe a short excursion to the produce shop in my neighborhood, and trying to stay off my feet for the most part. I'm trying to conserve my energy for when I go into labor. Maybe soon, I don't know... No rush here, though, I'm ready when she's ready.
Have a good day everyone!

Am I the only one who doesn't feel like anything is happening? No major contractions, so loss of mucus plug or anything like that. This is so unlike my other two pregnancies where I had weeks of mild contractions and back ache and was dilating weeks before. I don't know if I'm dilating or not because I refuse internals...I really don't feel they are necessary for me at this point. It would be perfect if I would go into labour next Thursday though because DH gets off at noon and doesn't have to return to work (he's in the Navy) for a week and a half so it would be great to have him home with the newborn.
I have a doctors appointment this afternoon and I'm really nervous about how much weight I've gained. I haven't been concerned with it this whole pregnancy (I've only gained 19 lbs so far but keep in mind this three in under three years so I haven't even got close to returning to my pre-pre pregnancy weight) but I'm getting awfully close to a number on the scale that I have managed to avoid with all other pregnancies and I just don't want to see it. I'm just nervous because I gained 6 lbs in two weeks the last time and I don't want that to happen again.
Hope everyone is having a great day! I'll be back later and let everyone know how my appointment went. I'm hoping my Doc will tell me that baby won't have to go to NICU when s/he is born since they couldn't find the mass at the last u/s!

Yay, today is my birthday! And for the first time-I'm going to say I'm ready for baby to come out. Only because the Puppps rash is driving me insane. Last night I went to bed for an hour, woke up for 3 due to intense itching, fell asleep for 1, woke back up, etc. etc. I just can't function on such little sleep. All the things I've tried so far aren't helping at all-I'm waiting for a homeopathic remedy to get here to try.
So, come out, anytime baby, you're almost 37 weeks!
I feel selfish saying that, but I feel like I'm going to rip the skin off my belly =(
Still haven't packed my hospital bag, still not done with stuff around the house, so really, I do need him to wait a while, but the ITCHINESS IS DRIVING ME MAD!

Yes, have a great birthday!
I noticed that from last night, my contractions feel differently than they have for the last few weeks. Like, instead of just getting hard in the middle- EVERY soft place on my abdomen is getting hard now. I can really feel the intensity low down above where his head is now and far over on the sides. They still don't hurt but are much stronger and harder than they were. I laid in bed last night wondering if I'd wake up pregnant again or if I'd be holding a new person. I'm still pregnant but this early in the day, i'm ok with that. It's the evening that tends to suck but DH is taking me out tonight to celebrate October.

Wow all you ladies with "something happening" good luck!! I can't believe how many babies have come already and how many will be arriving in the coming days!!
Dahlea - Happy Birthday!!!
Orionbelt - GL at your doctor's appt. I hope your weight is what you feel comfortable with and I hope your doc gives you good news!
AAM: This morning as DH and I were cuddling in bed the first thing he said to me was "it's October!" Awwwwww. I'm so excited!
I had my mother blessing last night which was wonderful, and I'll post in another thread when I get the chance today!
I am feeling mostly sleepy now and seriously think sleeping is probably the most important thing I can "get done" now. I've resolved *not* to feel guilty about napping on the couch for 30min-1hour after DH goes to work and the kids play on the floor beside me...and taking my afternoon nap too. I went into labor with DS2 exhausted and he had a great birth but I was completely beat postpartum. I'd rather not repeat that.
I have all my major "nesting" done at this point - house is organized and clean, baby nest is set, all birth supplies ready, I have a month of main dishes in my freezer. Planning to use the next 3 weeks to wrap up DD"s current homeschooling unit and get some crafts done with the big kids. I'm also going to get them some things together for them to have to do in the early days after the baby is born.
I'm so excited now!!!! It's October gals!!!!!

: Well, yesterday it did seem like the braxton hicks contractions picked up, but they're definitely not the real thing and had no discernable pattern. However, I am starting to get that "uncomfortable being pregnant" thing going on, so maybe the end really is in sight and I won't be pregnant forever.Good luck at your ultrasound!!

:And oh my gosh, do I ever know exactly what you're feeling. Well, for me it's not PUPPPS, but all pregnancy long most my skin *except* for on my belly has been itching like mad, and I *have* scratched it raw, multiple times.
I also do not have a bag packed, nor a clean house, but yeah, not really caring anymore. Want baby. Want non-itchy skin. Mostly in that order.

Good luck to the mamas thinking things are starting!
:
And happy birthday Dahlea!
AAM: DD was up all night long in our bed tossing and turning, so none of us got any sleep (except DS who stayed in his own bed). She kept saying she was "hot hot hot" and rolling around. She threw up a tiny bit, but I think it's more related to the cold she's getting over than having the flu (phlegm in her throat). She finally got back to sleep right before 5 am and DS woke up promptly. Ugh, I am exhausted. Hoping to get a nap with 1 or 2 of them today, so we're skipping playgroup.
Not much going on labor-wise here yet, but I'm not quite 37 weeks even. I mean, still tons of BH and even crampiness, some radiating around my back, but nothing serious. I'm hoping to hold out until a few more weeks at least. I still have so much to do around the house!

AAM:
Today I have a ton more to do...again! Yesterday I spend ALL day cooking PPmeals and I need to finish them all up today. Plus I want to make pancakes, muffins, waffles and cookies
My mom might be able to come help me this afternoon which would be really nice. I have my big 37 week group prenatal at the Birth Center tomorrow so I need to make sure I have all of the paperwork and stuff together. I need little Christopher to hold out on coming until at least Monday. I have that prenatal tomorrow, a LLL meeting on Friday, doing belly cast and pics on Saturday, and then Sunday I get a free 90min prenatal massage (!!!!) and then Monday is my last appointment with my doula to go over hypnobabies stuff some more! I feel like all of a sudden I have a ton to do again *sigh*But of course he will come this week because I'm not ready...lol!
