Maybe, or maybe not...

Have been having good contractions on and off since midnight, they starting getting a little intense around 6AM with some bowel cleansing. They slowed around 9AM but I was feeling really sleepy so I decided to lay down. They were just picking back up seriously after a half an hour of laying down, when my two year old winged a hard plastic animail at my husband and got him right in the eye. Half of his eye is bloody and his brow is all cut up. So I had to jump up and deal with all that. Still having harder contractions but they are kind of spaced out. Not sure what to do next? I think we are sending the toddler away to a friend though! And we are waiting for a call back from the MD about his eye.

Ooooh yay! Sounds like this could definately be it. I hope you are holding your "Guppie" very soon!

The stress of dealing with your husband and toddler could slow things down a bit...however if they didn't stop altogether that's a good sign!

Take a shower, lay down, relax somehow, and most likely things will pick right up again!

Good luck! ELVS!

Maybe...! Keep us posted, if you wish. I'll be thinking about you today. Hope your DH's eye heals quickly. Is he ready for another kid to come along and beat up on him too?

You've gotta love toddlers and the unexpected moments they add to life! Hope his eye is feeling better really soon, and that your contractions are helping you to make good progress.

: for you and sending ELVs :

I think that adrenaline rush probably spaced them out, but if they didn't go away that's a good sign! Hopefully they're coming back now that toddler is away having fun and you can relax again!

Thanks for all the good vibes, yeah it totally spaced out the good working contrx. Hearing Dh scream in real pain downstairs and having to rush off to clean up his bloody eye kind of took my mind off my own body. Everytime I do get a chance to relax they pick up. We finally just got through the Dr visit to make sure she did not tear his cornia, and in an hour we are going to drop her off at art class, then go for a walk while she paints and glues. My midwife says they will probablly pick up in the middle of the night and maybe we will see some real progress. Too bad my Aunt is flying in at 8PM, she may not get to rest from her flight before the real action starts. My spirits are really good, and hubby's eye is supposed to recover within a week with no lasting effects. He just looks like he got sucker punched by a plastic zebra.
